We are delighted to be able to begin a programme of visiting again. We hope you will join us on our forthcoming visit to Oulton Abbey in Staffordshire.
Please CLICK HERE for the booking form for the visit plus the lunch menu at the Wheatsheaf Inn. All necessary precautions will be taken to minimise any health hazards during the visit. The fee for the visit will cover the cost of a main dish at the Inn. When you return your booking form and cheque please also indicate your choice of meal so that I can forward the details to the pub in advance – this will allow them to deal with a large group of people without too much delay. Any other items you want from the menu (desserts, coffee etc) are not covered by the visit fee.
The morning part of the visit will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting of the Society which should not take more than about fifteen minutes. A copy of the accounts for 2020 are attached, plus a nomination form for the election of officers.
The community of Benedictine sisters no longer resides at the Abbey – which is now a nursing home. But a number of areas of the Abbey can still be visited, including the grade II listed E. W. Pugin chapel.
