Visit to Oulton Abbey – Wednesday 22 May 2024

Click here for information and the booking form for our visit to Oulton Abbey on Wednesday 22 May. This year is the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the Benedictine community and this visit is an opportunity to join in the celebration of that history. Members who joined the 2021 visit to Oulton will recall what an enjoyable day we spent there; those of you who were not able to attend on that occasion might want to take advantage of this opportunity. The beautiful E.W. Pugin chapel is well worth the visit. There is no charge for this event but I still need to have your booking in order to supply the Abbey with the numbers for catering purposes.

When you return your booking form please also indicate what you would like to order for lunch so that I can send this on to the caterers at Spetchley in advance. But please DO NOT send any money in payment for lunch; this will be payable individually on the day.

Visitors to Spetchley do not normally have access to the house, which is a private residence. But Mr Henry Berkeley has kindly agreed that we can visit and celebrate Mass in the chapel in the house.
